For the 8th day of blogmas, I am sharing my winter skin-care routine. This routine is what I do every day to keep my skin moisturized from the harsh cold. This post also includes some of my favorite products that you can try out also! So, here is my 5 step winter skin-care routine. I hope this post will be helpful for those who struggle with their skin during the winter season!

Step #1 – Cleanser

I use two cleansers interchangeably throughout the winter. First is the 3 Step Acne System from Walgreens, which helps with any blemishes that I might have without drying out my skin. The second is the Daily Hydrating Facial Cleanser from Walmart. This product also cleans my skin very well without making it super dry.

For my body, I make sure that I use a body wash that isn’t super drying, such as the Softsoap brands. I also exfoliate with the Dr. Teals Epson Salt Body Scrub or Tree Hut Shea Sugar Exfoliating Body Scrub to get rid of the dead skin.

Step #2 – Toner.

The second step is face toner. I usually use the refreshing toner that is included in the 3 Step Acne System.But, I also use Witch Hazel, which I also feel helps even out my skin tone. Another toner I use is the Mario Badescu Facial Spray. I mostly use this toner as a setting spray over my makeup.

Step #3 – Face and Body Moisturizer.

The third step is moisturizer. I use multiple products depending on how my skin feels that day. Sometimes, I use shea butter mixed with organic vitamin e oil when my skin feels dry. Some days, I use vitamin e oil by itself. Recently, I have been using Bio-Oil to help with my dark spots, which I also mix with Vitamin E oil. Some days, I use serums such as snail oil. I have also used Palmers Cocoa Butter and Skin Therapy Oil.

For my body moisturizer, I usually use coconut oil every day. But as it gets colder, it doesn’t seem to help as much. So, recently I have been using Cocoa Butter lotion mixed with baby oil. I also use shea butter or coconut oil to seal in the moisture. I also found a hemp seed body oil by Dr. Teals that is moisturizing and smells really good!

Step #4 – Makeup Remover

To remove my makeup, I always use Ponds Cold Cream. I also use makeup wipes from Walmart. Sometimes, I will use Micellar Water to remove my mascara or eye makeup. Coconut oil works great as a makeup remover too.

Step #5 – Face Masks

Face masks are a great way to detox or maintain moisture in your skin. Sheet masks are usually my go-to’s. You can keep them in your refrigerator or get a cold jade roller to massage your skin while you have on the face masks. I also use eye masks occasionally. Especially before I put on my makeup or when I look tired. I use mud and clay masks often too. These masks help clean my skin from what I couldn’t with my cleanser. My favorite ones are from Freeman like their Apple Cider Vinegar Mask and Anti-Stress Dead Sea Minerals Mask. I use their peel-off masks often too!
